For better review, listen to the music:

Many people run in Central Park for their health. Edward Carbny runs for his life. Place yourself in the world of Edward Carnby, which suffers for amnesia, nevertheless he has to fight for his life. Horrific and tense game, that will always keep you on your feet. (Despite errors)

STORY:
Story is placed in the world biggest and most known city New York. No, you are wrong. This isn't GTA4, but Alone In The Dark. You're playing Edward Carnbya, which doesn't remember anything from his past. This sets the story in even better light. Whatever you see and hear, Edward does too. This really makes story better, since you're felling the same as Edward. You will have to fight for the truth: Who the hell wants you dead, who is attacking you and who the hell are you anyway. A great story for a game.

GAMEPLAY:
Although PC, Xbox360 and Wii versions are marked as bad, this version didn't feel that bad at all. It was actually very entertaining. You can move Edward around the world easily together with camera. Close combat has very original gameplay. For example, you take a chair in your hands and you can swing around like a chopper. If you swing a bit harder, you can crash your opponent on the floor. But enemies aren't people, but real monsters in the form of human. They can't die, even if you're shooting them in the head and empty your gun. When they fall on the ground, they always wake up from their short nap. How to get rid of them? You have to use different object like bottles and flamable liquid. You can mix your bullets with flamable liquid, so you get a flamable bullets.(Bullets on fire) or you can just throw a bottle with flamable liquid into their head and shooting it right in front of their face. The game offers many combinations with lighter or bandages etc. The bigger your imagination is, the more weapons you will have.

GRAPHICS:
Alone in the Dark has so many details and accesories, so it really looks like a real park.Ofcourse, the park is built after real central park exactly to every waste bin. Graphics are perfect too, as you can see it on the pictures) Except for fire, which could be better. Otherwise, models are made well, although animation bothers me a bit. Monsters are sometimes so slow and wooden, but they do get you few times very badly. They even jump on a car roof and try to pull you out. It's pretty intesne, when you get lots of monsters behind your ass.

Alone in the Dark is worth a try. It has some minor mistakes, but you can easily ignore that. If your looking for fun, this ISN'T the game for you. Buy GTA4 instead. There is a little nicer New York.

Story: 5/5
Gameplay: 5/3
Graphics: 5/4

Overall: 5/4
